Banafshe Hourmazdi

*1990, grew up in the Ruhr area. 2008/09 she played the flower girl in “Eine Kirche der Angst vor dem Fremden in mir”, directed by Christoph Schlingensief (Ruhrtriennale / Berliner Theatertreffen). Banafshe studied acting at Akademie für Darstellende Kunst Baden-Württemberg and the Masters course in acting at Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK). She devised and played in performances at Badischen Staatstheater Karlsruhe, at Theater Luzern, at Ballhaus Ost Berlin among others, and was invited with several performances to Körber Studio Junge Regie as well as to Fast Forward Festival at Staatstheater Braunschweig. With the director Frederik Müller she works since 2013 as theatre collective Technocandy. 2015 they won the Newcomer Award of the city of Vienna for their production “Meine Nase läuft” at Theater Drachengasse. In March 2016 her devised show “We Are The Universe” had its premiere at Ballhaus Naunynstraße Berlin. 2016 and 2017 Technocandy showed “Meine Nase läuft. Deine Stars hautnah” at Sophiensaele Berlin.
